More About Urgada de Kreisker

Urgada de Kreisker is far more than an elite broodmare; she represents the very quintessence of what the international stage has to offer in terms of producing champions. Dam of the superstar Dubai du Cèdre, full sister to the phenomenon Quickly de Kreisker, all rooted in the extraordinary lineage of Dexter de Kerglenn—what could be better than having Urgada de Kreisker as a dam to produce an exceptional foal?

Urgada de Kreisker, an extraordinary physique

Urgada de Kreisker boasts a naturally athletic model, with a strong, taut topline and a wide, powerful loin. Her shoulder is exceptional, her limbs are clean with strong joints, and her eye is bright and intelligent. Although she showed remarkable jumping potential at the age of three, Urgada de Kreisker was dedicated exclusively to breeding due to her outstanding genetic heritage.

Dam of Dubai du Cèdre

Urgada de Kreisker is none other than the dam of the incredible Diriyah, formerly Dubai du Cèdre (Baloubet du Rouet), ISO 176. The fiery chestnut mare, Dubai du Cèdre, is one of those exceptional horses that define an era. Her performances under the saddle of Julien Epaillard have been phenomenal: Team Bronze Medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, winner of the CSI5* 1.65m GCT Super Grand Prix in Prague, runner-up in the CSIW5* 1.60m World Cup Final in Riyadh, 4th individually at the Paris Olympics, Team Bronze Medal at the European Championships in Milan, … with career earnings exceeding €1.3 million.

Urgada de Kreisker’s sons are also making their mark: Estoril du Cèdre (Jarnac), a licensed stallion, is progressing successfully at CSI4* 1.50m level in the Netherlands with Jur Vrieling, while Firenze du Cèdre (Toulon), also a stallion, has placed in CSI2* 1.40m classes in Great Britain.

Full sister to Quickly de Kreisker, World No. 1 performer in 2014

Urgada de Kreisker is a daughter of the foundation sire Diamant de Semilly and the mare Briseis d’Helby (Laudanum xx). Briseis d’Helby is an outstanding broodmare, with seven offspring successful at 1.45m and above, and she has been crossed several times with great success to Diamant de Semilly.

Urgada de Kreisker is thus the full sister of Abdelkebir Ouaddar’s superstar Quickly de Kreisker. This charismatic stallion, renowned for his expressive style and spectacular bucking, left a lasting mark on the 2014 season by being ranked World No. 1 performer. His record includes: winner of the CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix at Paris Grand Palais, winner of the CSI5* GCT 1.60m Grand Prix in Al Ain, 2nd in the CSI5* GCT 1.60m Grand Prix in Chantilly, 2nd in the CSIO5* 1.60m Grand Prix of La Baule, 3rd in the CSIO5* 1.60m Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, 2nd in the CSIW3* 1.60m in Rabat, winner of the CSIW3* 1.60m in Tetouan, 3rd in the CSIW3* 1.60m in Dubai, and 8th in the CSIW5* 1.60m World Cup Final in Lyon, …

Another daughter of Diamant de Semilly and Briseis d’Helby, Shakira de Kreisker, a successful CSI3* 1.45m winner in Italy, has also produced at 5* level through Angela de Kreisker (Clinton), with €65,000 in CSI5* 1.50m earnings. Angela herself is the dam of PST de Muze (Vigo d’Arsouilles), who has earned €133,000 at CSI5* 1.60m with Francisco Goyoaga Mollet.

Briseis d’Helby also produced Flirt d’Helby (I Love You), stallion ISO 147; Illiade d’Helby (Vas y Donc Longane), ISO 155 CSI 1.45m; Javelot d’Helby (Vas y Donc Longane), stallion ISO 173 CSI4* 1.50m; Kouros d’Helby (Narcos II), stallion ISO 161 CSI3* 1.60m; and Orlane d’Helby (Elan de la Cour), ISO 147 CSI4* 1.50m.

The great Danae dam line

Urgada de Kreisker descends from the foundation mare Danae (Starter). Her sire, Starter, an outstanding sire and exceptional damsire, is by the legendary Thoroughbred Rantzau, just like the foundation sire Cor de la Bryère.

Two daughters of Danae stand out in particular through their champion-producing lines: Nika du Nevada and Betty de Kreisker.

Nika du Nevada (Écuyer I) is at the origin of Urgada de Kreisker’s branch (her second dam).
Betty de Kreisker (Muguet du Manoir) is at the origin of the Dexter de Kerglenn branch.

Betty de Kreisker produced directly six winners at 1.45m+ level, including three CSI5* 1.60m winners: Fakir de Kreisker (Quito de Baussy), stallion ISO 140 CSI 1.45m; Helisa de Kreisker (Qredo de Paulstra), ISO 152 CSI 1.45m; Kirfa de Kreisker (Papillon Rouge), stallion ISO 171 CSIO5* 1.60m; Liberto de Kreisker (Quito de Baussy), stallion ISO 150 CSI 1.45m; Once de Kreisker (Papillon Rouge), ISO 171 CSIO5* 1.60m; Quiesling de Kreisker (Diamant de Semilly), ISO 147 CSI5* 1.60m; and Jumpy de Kreisker (Quito de Baussy), ISO 164 CSI 1.55m.

The famous 7-year-old champion Jumpy de Kreisker has become a cornerstone of French breeding, with a prolific international offspring record across the first, second, and third generations. Among them are Dexter de Kerglenn (Mylord Carthago), stallion ISO 175 with €800,000 in CSI5* GCT 1.60m earnings; Déesse de Kerglenn (Mylord Carthago), ISO 160 CSI5* 1.60m; Darius de Kerglenn (Mylord Carthago), ISO 157 CSI5* 1.60m; Unna de Kerglenn (Cap Kennedy), CSI5* 1.55m; Urcos de Kerglenn (Toulon), ISO 164 CSI5* 1.60m; Quito de Kerglenn (Diamant de Semilly), ISO 164 CSI3* 1.60m; Shana de Kerglenn (Diamant de Semilly), ISO 153 CSI3* 1.55m, …
