More About Diarada Z
Diarada Z is a stunning black mare with ideal proportions.
This dream model is perfectly matched by an exceptional pedigree, her maternal granddam is none other than the legendary Qerly Chin. Diarada Z embodies the very best of modern sport horse genetics. Gaining access to her bloodline is a rare opportunity and a guarantee of high-level potential.
Diarada Z, the beauty
Diarada Z displays the unmistakable stamp of her famous sire, Diarado: deep black coat, refined tissue, dry limbs, an elegant, chiseled head, expressive eyes, and a strong, well-connected topline from withers to loin. She is overall beautifully balanced. Diarada Z moves with suppleness and scope, qualities she used in sport up to 1.40m level in CSI3*, showing a sharp front end and impressive lift through the withers.
Daughter of Merveille de Muze CSIO4 1.60m and granddaughter of the incredible Qerly Chin CSIW5* 1.60m
Diarada Z is by Merveille de Muze (Nabab de Rêve), an excellent performer at CSIO4* 1.60m level with Davide Kainich and Trevor Coyle, including a 5th place in the World Cup GP CSIO4* Bratislava. While her dam’s 1.60m record already speaks volumes, Diarada Z’s second dam is the iconic Qerly Chin (Chin Chin). In addition to being a phenomenal broodmare, Qerly Chin was a top-level competitor with Christophe Barbeau: Olympic pre-selection (Athens 2004), 2nd in the Nations Cups at Falsterbo and Athens CSIO5* 1.60m, 4th in World Cup GPs in Amsterdam and Geneva, 5th in Bordeaux, 7th in Mechelen… Diarada Z’s third dam, Kerly (Pachat II), was also a 1.60m winner with David Jobertie.
Remarkably, Diarada Z descends from three consecutive 1.60m-winning mares. A legacy of elite sport passed from mother to daughter!
Qerly Chin, a foundation mare
Diarada Z comes from a lineage of outstanding international mares,and it doesn’t stop there. Her dam, Merveille de Muze, is also the granddam of the approved stallion Filou de Muze (Stakkato), CSI5* 1.60m with Philippe Le Jeune and Lucia Le Jeune Vizzini. Though he passed at 14, Filou de Muze is remembered for the high quality of his offspring, notably El Conde, who earned over €300,000 with Nayel Nassar at CSI5* 1.60m.
Her second dam, the phenomenal Qerly Chin, was not only a champion in the ring but a true legend in the breeding shed. This line is universally considered one of the world’s top 3 maternal lines. The exceptional genes of Qerly Chin are in high demand, both in sport and breeding. Listing all the champions descending from Qerly Chin would be nearly impossible given the depth of talent.
The famous Narcotique de Muze II (Darco x Qerly Chin) competed at CSI5* 1.60m with Eric Lamaze but excelled even more in the breeding shed. Among her first and second-generation offspring are:
- Querlybet Hero (Baloubet du Rouet), CSIO5* 1.60m and sire of many top performers;
- Sterrehof’s Ushi (Vigo d’Arsouilles) CSIO5* 1.60m;

- Narcotique de Muze II is, in fact, Diarada Z’s aunt.
The excellence of Qerly Chin’s legacy also shines through her other daughters:

Diarado, Nabab de Rêve, Chin Chin : a dream lineup of sires
Diarada Z is by the black diamond of Holstein, Diarado (Diamant de Semilly x Corrado x Contender x Lord). Diarado is an elite sire, ranked #1 WBFSH 2024 eventing sire and 15th for showjumping, a rare dual-discipline achievement.
Her dam’s sire, Nabab de Rêve (Quidam de Revel x Artichaut), is one of the great sires of Europe. Nabab has earned his place as a true foundation stallion. His sons—Vigo d’Arsouilles and Kashmir Van Schuttershof, are global icons and fathers of champions. His daughters are treasured as broodmares.
Nabab brings the blood of Quidam de Revel, a brilliant match for the Diamant de Semilly influence from Diarado.
Chin Chin, a showjumping legend (Seoul Olympics 1988) and one of the world’s leading dam sires, is a grandson of the great founding sire, Cor de la Bryère.
