Badiane is out of Walloon de Muze (by Nabab de Rêve), a top-level mare who jumped CSI5* 1.60m with Michel Hécart and Cédric Bellanger. Her granddam is none other than the legendary Qerly Chin (Chin Chin), who was herself a world-class competitor with Christophe Barbeau: Olympic short-listed (Athens 2004), 2nd Nations Cup Falsterbo CSIO5*, 2nd Nations Cup Athens CSIO5*, 4th GP World Cup Amsterdam, 4th GP World Cup Geneva, 5th GP World Cup Bordeaux, 7th GP World Cup Mechelen, and more. Even at 18 years old, Toupie was still performing at the CSI5* 1.60m level, a true testament to her exceptional talent and durability.

Walloon de Muze: a dam of champions
Badiane’s dam, Walloon de Muze, is a remarkable broodmare. Beyond Toupie de la Roque, she also produced Daytona de Muze (by Cento), who competed at CSI3* 1.60m and is the granddam of the popular Holstein Verband stallion Million Dollar (Plot Blue). Centa de Muze (Cento x Walloon de Muze) is the dam of Freestyle de Muze (Lord Z), who jumped CSIO5* 1.60m with Richie Moloney, and Horizon de Regor (Obourg), also a CSIO5* 1.60m performer with Pieter Clemens.

The Qerly Chin dynasty
Badiane is a direct granddaughter of Qerly Chin, a legendary mare and founding dam of one of the top three maternal lines in the world. The Qerly Chin bloodline is renowned both in sport and breeding, a true guarantee of quality. It’s nearly impossible to list all the champions from this dynasty due to the sheer number of elite performers.

Among Qerly’s descendants, the iconic Narcotique de Muze II (Darco x Qerly Chin) shone in CSI5* 1.60m with Eric Lamaze and left an even greater legacy through her progeny. Kannan brings valuable bloodlines through Furioso II (via Voltaire) and Nimmerdor (via his dam Cemeta). Furioso II is a cornerstone of modern breeding, and his excellence lives on through sires like For Pleasure and Kannan.

Nimmerdor, the sire of Kannan’s dam, is also the sire of Heartbreaker, a name synonymous with performance.
