More About Halissa Pommex Z

Malissa de Muze, top winner in CSI5* 1.60m
Halissa like Malissa! Halissa Pommex z is indeed the daughter of Malissa de Muze, a very successful mare on the CSIO5* and CSI4* circuits, with total earnings of €125,000 under the saddle of Hallie Grimes and Lorenzo de Luca. Malissa de Muze is known for her exceptional speed and has placed in many 1.50m speed classes: 3rd in Aachen, 2nd in Dinard, 3rd in Vejer de la Frontera, 4th in Wellington. It is worth noting that Lorenzo de Luca rode both parents of Halissa Pommex z at CSI5* level: Halifax Van Het Kluizebos and Malissa de Muze. Now fully dedicated to breeding, Malissa de Muze is proving successful, with two out of her only three competition-age offspring already standing out: Spirit de Muze (by Eames de Hus) is competing at 1.40m at 7 years old, and Sambucci de Muze was a finalist at the 2024 World Championship for 6-year-olds in Lanaken. Owned by VDL, Sambucci de Muze (by Scendro) is an approved stallion with both BWP and KWPN studbooks. Furthermore, Malissa de Muze represents the excellence of the Vigo d’Arsouilles x For Pleasure cross, a proven formula at top level with performers such as Vagabond de la Pomme and Go Easy de Muze.

Cordula de Laubry, world’s top broodmare
What an exceptional mare Cordula de Laubry is! Among her 22 offspring in competition, no fewer than 16 have achieved results at 1.45m level or higher. As of 2025, she ranks No. 1 in the Hippomundo global ranking for dams of Black Type winners (1.45m+). Her direct offspring have earned over €2 million in prize money. Among her most notable offspring: Global alias Global Equinta (by Nabab de Rêve), CSIO4* 1.60m, €119,000 with Christian Weier; Brooklyn Heights alias Jorden Van de Kruishoeve (by Nabab de Rêve), CSIO5* GCT/GCL 1.65m, €900,000 with Denis Lynch; Fantomas de Muze (by Sandro Boy), CSIO3* 1.60m, €114,000 with Karline De Brabander, approved stallion and sire of CSI5* 1.60m winners; Igor de Muze (by Tinka’s Boy), CSIO3* 1.60m with Marco Viviani; Lector Vd Bisschop (by Bamako de Muze), CSIO5* 1.60m, €365,000 with Koen Vereecke, approved stallion and sire of winners; Lord de Muze (by Nabab de Rêve), €230,000 with Mathieu Billot.

Olympic mare Nikita de Laubry
The third dam of Halissa Pommex z is the outstanding Nikita de Laubry, the iconic chestnut mare who was a cornerstone of the Spanish team in the 2000s. With her rider Fernando Sarasola, Nikita de Laubry shone in Nations Cups: 1st in Gijón, 2nd in Lisbon, 3rd in the 2001 Nations Cup Final in Madrid, 8th in the Vigo World Cup Grand Prix. Nikita de Laubry represented Spain at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez. Nikita de Laubry was one of the best sport mares in the world in the early 2000s. A Belgian Warmblood (BWP), she is a daughter of the Selle Français stallion Skippy II (by Galoubet A), a proven and respected broodmare sire.

Halifax Van Het Kluizebos x Vigo d’Arsouilles x For Pleasure x Darco!
Halissa Pommex z has a pedigree full of stallions who all competed at CSIO5* 1.60m level. Halifax Van Het Kluizebos (by Heartbreaker), world No. 1 performer in 2018, already counts 9 approved sons and 6 offspring jumping at 1.40m+ among his young progeny. Vigo d’Arsouilles, 2010 World Champion (by Nabab de Rêve), is highly proven both through his direct offspring and through his sons and daughters in breeding. A true reference. For Pleasure, Olympic gold medallist in Atlanta 1996, brings the valuable genes of Furioso II and Grannus; he is an exceptional sire known for consistency and quality. Darco, the Belgian foundation sire, 7th at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, consistently passed on strength and bravery to his descendants.

Strong bloodline echoes
Halissa Pommex z features several interesting bloodline reinforcements. Darco appears twice in her pedigree in 4 x 4: the second dam of Halifax and the second dam of Malissa de Muze are both daughters of Darco. Her pedigree is also strongly influenced (three times) by the blood of the legendary sire Almé. Another great sire, Furioso II, is doubled in this pedigree through For Pleasure and the third dam of Halifax Van Het Kluizebos. These are more accurately described as reinforced bloodlines rather than inbreeding, as the repeated sires appear beyond the third generation. The qualities of these great sires are clearly concentrated here, but without excess.

"We worked with her sister Spirit de Muze until 6yo wold championship and we hope the same for Halissa "
