More About Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof

Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof is a true genetic gem! This granddaughter of the famous Fragance de Chalus has proven her natural ability both in sport at 1.45m and in breeding as the dam of the outstanding Intermezzo CSI4* 1.60m.

A model of power
Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof clearly shows the stamp of her sire, Querlybet Hero (Baloubet du Rouet), with an extra dose of strength brought (twice) by the legendary Darco. Her limbs are strong and well-positioned, her hindquarters powerful with great impulsion, and her muscular, massive shoulder (so typical of Darco) is impressive. Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof competed successfully at CSI2* 1.45m with Thomas Canone, showcasing her strength and ease.

Dam of Intermezzo CSI4 1.60m*
Bred at 3 years old to Kashmir Van Schuttershof, Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof produced her first foal at 4: Intermezzo. This BWP gelding has shone under Swiss rider Carlo Pfyffer at CSI3* 1.50m and CSI4* 1.60m, earning over €35,000 in prize money, including a 2nd place finish in the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix of Vejer de la Frontera. Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof has continued to produce quality offspring, with her second foal Jerco (by Erco Van’t Roosakker) now competing at CSI 1.45m with Simone Zaraffi.

Sister of Sandor de la Pomme CSIW5 1.60m*
Her dam, Vodka Orange de Muze (Darco x Fragance de Chalus), a successful performer at CSI 1.40m, has produced several international winners. Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof is the sister of Sandor de la Pomme (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Vodka Orange de Muze), a top performer with McLain Ward and Darragh Kenny at CSIW5* 1.60m, placing at Calgary Spruce Meadows, Wellington, Miami, Knokke, Chantilly, and more. The rest of Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof’s siblings are equally remarkable: Elouise de Muze (Nabab de Reve x Vodka Orange de Muze) successfully competing at CSI3* 1.55m with Richie Moloney, Bacardi-Rhum de Muze (Kannan x Vodka Orange de Muze) CSI2* 1.45m and approved stallion, Bacardi Orange de Muze (Cento x Vodka Orange de Muze) CSI2* 1.45m.

Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof, granddaughter of Fragance de Chalus
Fragance de Chalus (Jalisco B) is a superstar among the stars of modern breeding. Her direct offspring are phenomenal, but what truly makes her a foundation mare is her influence across generations.
Her son, the stallion Mylord Carthago (Carthago), CSIO5* 1.60m World Championship team silver medalist at Lexington 2010, is a world-class performer and currently ranks as the WBFSH No. 3 sire. Another of Fragance’s sons, Bamako de Muze (Darco), CSI4* 1.60m and full brother to Vodka Orange de Muze, is also a highly regarded sire across Europe.
Fragance de Chalus has produced top 1.60m performers, stallions, and exceptional broodmares. Among her descendants (first and second generations) are: A Big Boy (Kannan) CSIO5* 1.60m European Championships with Rein Pill, Ego Van Orti (Vigo d’Arsouilles) CSIW5* 1.65m with Edwina Tops-Alexander, Theodore Manciais (Kashmir Van’t Schuttershof) CSI5* 1.65m with Spencer Smith, Jaguar Vd Berghoeve (Emerald) CSIO5* 1.65m with Jasmine Chen, Queen Girl Kervec (Diamant de Semilly) CSI3* 1.60m, Vip du Forezan (Berlin) CSI5* 1.60m stallion, Trafalgar Kervec (Quaprice) CSI5* 1.60m, Uto Kervec (Diamant de Semilly) CSIO5* 1.60m stallion, Upercut Kervec (Diamant de Semilly) CSI3* 1.50m stallion, and Vitot Kervec (Diamant de Semilly), highly successful for Mexico at CSI5* 1.60m.

The royal male line
Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof doesn’t only boast an outstanding maternal line; she also carries the blood of some of the greatest sires.
Her sire, Querlybet Hero, brings in the blood of the legendary Baloubet du Rouet (Galoubet A), WBFSH No. 1 sire of winners in 2012. Querlybet Hero ranks as WBFSH No. 49 sire of winners in 2017, with offspring like the iconic Forlap CSI5* 1.60m with Gregory Wathelet and Eros CSI5* 1.70m, earning €435,000 with Olivier Robert.
Notably, Querlybet Hero is a grandson of Qerly Chin (Chin Chin), combining within Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof’s pedigree the two legendary foundation mares: Fragance de Chalus and Qerly Chin.
Her dam’s sire, Darco (Lugano Van la Roche), is one of Belgium’s most influential stallions, crowned WBFSH No. 1 sire of winners in 2010. Darco appears twice in Enjoy Van’t Meulenhof’s pedigree (3 x 2): once through her sire Querlybet Hero and once directly through her dam Vodka Orange de Muze.
Jalisco B (Almé) is also a legendary sire, WBFSH No. 1 sire of winners in 1995. He is the father of leading sires Quidam de Revel and the highly influential Papillon Rouge.
