More About Queen Girl Kervec
Enough said—this mare is truly exceptional. Queen Girl Kervec is regarded as one of the top three French broodmares and stands proudly among the global elite. Everything about Queen Girl Kervec speaks of excellence: performances, lineage, and top-level offspring. Accessing her remarkable genetics directly is a rare privilege and an opportunity not to be missed.
The Champion, Queen Girl Kervec
Lively and incredibly determined on the course, Queen Girl Kervec stood out from the beginning on the young horse circuit, with an ISO of 140 at 6 years old, and later in CSI at just 10 years old with Julien Gonin. She placed 2nd in the World Cup Grand Prix CSIW3* 1.50m in Rabat, 7th in the CSI4* 1.60m in Franconville, 7th in the CSI3* Grand Prix 1.50m in Vichy, 7th at the CSI3* in Windsor, 10th in the CSI3* 1.50m in Hardelot, and so forth, amassing an excellent ISO of 162. A true warrior on the course, she combined power, style, energy, and a willingness to give everything for her rider. Given her exceptional genetic potential, her owner decided to devote her exclusively to breeding after her 10-year-old season.
Producing CSI5* 1.60m Champions
Queen Girl Kervec has only 11 offspring, of which four are seven years old or older. Among these, all four are international winners! Trafagar Kervec (by Quaprice) is the eldest of these high performers, excelling up to CSI5* 1.60m with Margaux Rocuet, achieving €114,000 in earnings and an ISO of 164. Her second son, the powerful dark bay stallion Vip du Forezan (alias V.I.P. by Berlin), was French Champion for 7-year-olds with Julien Gonin and later a top CSIO5* 1.60m competitor for Mexico with Paola Amilibia, earning €147,000 and an ISO of 162. GrainedeQueen Forezan (by Vagabond de la Pomme) is competing at 1.40m with Dylan Sablon, while her twin sister, Girl Queen du Forezan (by Vigo d’Arsouilles), competes at CSI3* 1.45m with Julien Gonin. Girl Queen du Forezan has already produced the young approved stallion Casall du Forezan Z (by Casall).
Queen Girl Kervec, Granddaughter of the Legendary Fragance de Chalus
This is truly being at the heart of a powerhouse lineage. Her dam, Jolly Girl de Kervec (by Darco), was a successful 1.40m competitor with Jean-Marc Nicolas, achieving an ISO of 153. She is the dam of international horses like Uto Kervec (by Diamant de Semilly), a CSIO5* 1.60m stallion approved by SF; Upercut Kervec (by Diamant de Semilly), a CSI3* 1.50m stallion approved by SF; and Vitot Kervec (by Diamant de Semilly), an SF-approved stallion performing at CSI5* 1.60m for Mexico. But Queen Girl’s second dam is none other than the famous matriarch Fragance de Chalus (by Jalisco B), one of the leading broodmares in modern breeding. Fragance de Chalus’s direct descendants are outstanding, but what makes her exceptional is the impact she’s had on subsequent generations. Her offspring include the star stallion Mylord Carthago (by Carthago), a CSIO5* 1.60m performer and team world silver medalist in 2010 at Lexington, who ranks as the 3rd sire on the WBFSH. Another son, Bamako de Muze (by Darco), a CSI4* 1.60m competitor, is a full brother to Jolly Girl de Kervec and another favorite among breeders across Europe. Fragance de Chalus has produced as many 1.60m performers as she has top stallions and exceptional broodmares. Her daughters are in turn the origin of notable horses such as A Big Boy (by Kannan) CSIO5* 1.60m with Rein Pill; Ego Van Orti (by Vigo d’Arsouilles) CSIW5* 1.65m with Edwina Tops-Alexander; Theodore Manciais (by Kashmir Van’t Schuttershof) CSI5* 1.65m with Spencer Smith; Jaguar Vd Berghoeve (by Emerald) CSIO5* 1.65m with Jasmine Chen, and others.
The Great Sires: Diamant de Semilly, Darco, Jalisco B
Besides descending from one of the finest maternal lineages, Queen Girl Kervec also directly carries the valuable genetics of three great sires. Diamant de Semilly (by Le Tot de Semilly) has topped the WBFSH rankings multiple times as the world’s #1 sire of winners (2015, 2016, 2023). Darco (by Lugano Van La Roche) is a Belgian breeding legend, leaving a lasting mark on European studbooks and ranking #1 in the WBFSH for winning sires in 2010. Jalisco B (by Almé) is another foundational sire, crowned as the WBFSH World #1 sire of winners in 1995.
